Lil Wayne has reportedly secured the signing of highly touted NFL prospect Travis Hunter to his Young Money sports agency.

Hunter, who uniquely plays both offense and defense, is expected to be one of the highest picks in next year’s NFL Draft, regardless of what position he ends up playing.

According to Front Office Sports, Young Money APAA Sports have won the race to represent Hunter, who recently won the Heisman Trophy for the best player in college football.

It is believed that Wayne’s burgeoning sports agency beat out more established power players such as CAA, WME and Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports Group.

Neither Hunter nor Young Money have yet to comment on the reports but there has been speculation that the two parties would be working together in some capacity after the Colorado Buffaloes star shouted out Lil Wayne during his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech.

Turning to the rap legend who was in the audience, he said: “Wayne, you don’t know how you came into my life, man. My fiancée loves you. I didn’t know none of your songs until she let me know because I don’t listen to music.

“She told me, ‘You gotta listen to this. If you don’t listen to music, listen to Wayne.’ And from that day on, that’s all I listen to. Pregame music, those are the songs I listen to. When I get in that [Dodge Ram] TRX and I blast that music, I’m listening to Wayne.”

Hunter then did his best Weezy impression, rapping lyrics from his 2011 hit “6 Foot 7 Foot” before adding: “That’s my song.”

Young Money Sports currently represent talent across a number of sports including the NFL and NBA, plus soccer and an array of college athletes.

However, it was reported last year that the agency lost their star client, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, over Lil Wayne’s political views and his support of incumbent president Donald Trump.
