Lightning Seeds Announce New Album 'See You In The Stars' | News

Lighting Seeds will release new album ‘See You In The Stars’ on October 14th.

The album finds Ian Broudie returning to his famed project, which enjoyed such stellar success for over a decade.

Memories of ‘Three Lions’ may linger, but in truth Lightning Seeds’ war-chest is packed with guitar pop gems, uplifting yet wise singles strewn across a golden career.

Out on October 14th, ‘See You In The Stars’ is, seemingly, about finding a new form of balance in art and life.

“I always think music’s like attack and defence in football – or like politics – or like life. It’s about balance,” Ian Broudie says. “And achieving that is the challenge for me.”

The first two songs (‘Great To Be Alive’ and ‘Live To Love You’) were written alongside The Coral’s James Skelly – the two have a long association, with Broudie producing the band’s Mercury nominated debut album.

New single ‘Sunshine’ is online, a dose of uplifting pop from one of the best to ever do it. Ian Broudie comments…

“The song is about the sun being the source of life. I’ve had many dreams worrying about the future of an uncertain world. But then the sun shines and everything feels more positive and hopeful.”
